In the space between moments

0 posted 2001-08-26 12:49 PM

A trickling of fluted whispers
Shimmer over my skin,
Guided by the soft electricity
Of your breath...
I lean close to you,
Watching the flutter of devotion
In tragic, mysterious eyes,
Fall over me...
And I marvel that you,
Wounded, complex, passionate
Could love me
For I am wrapped tight in
My secrecy... almost untouchable...
And yet you hold me still
As the moments slide by,
And I,
Lost deep in the spiral of love,
Am dizzy, turbulent, stormy...
And yet somehow
I have found comfort.

I quote these lines because they're the ones that stood out to me, but the whole poem is definitely written in your consistently excellent style!  Great write, alwye!

Well now.......I couldn't very well come into Passions and NOT read one with your name on it could I?  What a tender and beautiful expression of care you give.  I do so enjoy reading your works and learn from each and every one of them.  Excellent write from the pen of one who is among the best.

Loving comfort, that's what it's about. Beautifully tender poem.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

So very soft, and fragile, I loved this one.  Nice to see your poetry once more.

This is a truly beautiful poem. It makes my smile stretch even farther to come home and see this little jewel. I love peeking through these windows into your soul. Fabulous, my dear, fabulous.
