that crossed my soul and has set up residence. It is my dangerous theif of words that defiantly resides now in all corners of my once growing and watered passion. After nights of holding my strong end up high the drain on my restless being is suffocating me slowly. I know that I'm supposed to be strong for others I know that the rewards for doing will give me great wealth of spirit but the slow drizzling ache has filled place within me and I'm choking on false smiles and false joy. I don't want to be left alone and yet I seem to need a lifting hand. I know that I'm here to be strong for others but often in moods like this I wonder who will be strong for me? Don't gain my affections then cover my eyes. Don't sweep me off my feet then fail to catch me before I hit the floor. |

It's a hard thing to remember all too often that we need to keep a little bit of ourselves for ourselves, for it's too easy to give our all -- literally -- away... Strong sentiments here and positive wishes to you... -MVS "It's all in the details -- the Big Picture always takes care of itself." |

Ahhh, gentle maid, the plight of the strong is that it takes a strong one to be there, and yet, the strong always hestiate to ask or to reveal, for that is part of what makes them strong..Selfish, eh? To not wish to receive in measure of what you give? Yes, so recieve...very gentle smile |

Let loose! Let you out! Rave, rant, scream, shout. Do something uncharacteristic. Quit being the cook and sit and sup awhile. Eavesdrop. |

Temptress, this really went deep, sometimes we forget that even the strong get weak, believe me I'm that way I don't like showing the weak side, but sometimes it's a necessity. So don't forget your wheaties in the a.m to refuel. by the way thanks for being there. |

you need to be strong for yourself. . . that is where true strength lies. . . well done my friend. . . ------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Wow powerful poem Jenn, and one I am sure many can identify with. Sometimes we get depleted caring for others, and have to stand back and say, "wait a minute here, what about me in all this", and take inventory. I liked this one. However, Logan too is right in theory for if the strong ones were not there, who would lead the weak? Big responsibility huh? ~*If you can't say anything nice about someone, don't say anything at all*~ hmmm...they were smart whomever said that! |

Jenn, I know all too well what this feels like; you have perfectly captured the melancholy and frustration that goes hand in hand with the realization that sometimes the "strongest" people need support too. Just don't let those "dark" feelings swallow you; keep writing and sharing your soul and your words will "shine" through, showing you the beauty that the rest of us already see and giving you the strength to carry on. |

As we write, we grow and we change. Sometimes it's painful, sometimes it's cruel and sometimes it's needed. Such words from a young lady who sounds to me like she knows her own mind! Kay (aka/Irish Rose) |

Temptress, yes you need to be strong for yourself, but it can't hurt to ask for help sometimes. Having a great friend, one that you can trust and that will always be there, can really help. Wish you well. Sauni @~~~>~~ |

"but the slow drizzling ache has filled place within me and I'm choking on false smiles and false joy." -- boy do I know how that is....extremely well put. Deeply painful words here, I can relate well to them. Excellent writing. *Krista Knutson* |
