I float alone
legless

no shore in sight
sun baked buoyant parts

windless vertical
adjustments

and sponge underwear

Okay, I'll take first dibs at this, since I love intrigue. Does this mean you are a bobber in the sea of advertisement for companionship? I may be way off. This is brilliant, and I'm not, but I'll give it a shot. And if I'm anywhere close, I'd reply just for the heck of it! You have certainly made a common symbol the most interesting I've ever read. Great big smile

Sincerely,
Regina

( smiling) I got to tell you this one, while I like some of the imagery..is over me head... the last line cracked me up..and I am not at all sure the whole image I got wasn't one of humor... It made me stop...and it made me think...that is a good thing....

write on bud..I'll keep trying to understand..

I doubt many others will nibble. When I read it to my 16 year old son he had a quizical look and five questions and it being a reaction was reason enough to post it. You pretty much hit on it's intended theme. Trollers deserving pathos not scorn in their lonely sojourn for companionship. In this case I used myself as an example. Barely afloat and lacking direction and control a single aging male without even the ability to propel to what is afterall a sightless goal bobs in the mercy of waves and scrutiny of sun while in his aging is dragged down by the absorbtion of the sea of despair in which he seeks to survive.

I also pondered especially being a sponge?
When I seen the title had to read, then I thought and thought because it's definitely a mind twister.
