I Am Like The Forest He entered my life in a wildfire burst and I was consumed, ravished by the flames of desire masquerading as love. In the wind of his lies; I smoldered, lit, and disintegrated ‘til all that was left was ash. You touched my barren plains. Your love the rain washing away the soot to uncover life. Your voice the sun warming me when I was chilled. And under your touch I began to sprout reaching towards the heavens I found in your arms. And like the forest... I burn then grow once more. |
