Devil's Den Row after row, marblized in memory, ghostly chills walked over me as I stepped beyond today into a past rocked by helplessness, knowing death was around the corner. ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

Row after row, marblized in memory, ghostly chills walked over me as I stepped beyond today into a past rocked by helplessness, knowing death was around the corner. chilling revelation...and sobering to think of the lives lost and buried...in many cases prematurely due to no fault of their own other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time... I will speak of your still life...and say what other motivation do you need to embrace each day...knowing others may have not had the opportunity and we..you, me, all of us...have no guarranty we will have another... Nice poem....and as usual... I enjoyed a great deal reading and pondering your words... |

To all my friends above..and any others reading... visiting Gettysburg yesterday We took many pictures..but the two that stayed in my mind were of the cemetery... the above is of the over 900 unknown dead and this picture below is of the Devil's Den... huge boulders and me thank you for reading... ~Wynter [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 08-22-2001).] |
