I’ve Cried my Last Tear For weeks now all I have done is set and pout Telling no one what I am hurting about Trust me that I’ll never try to do again Promised myself not to get that close again It is time for me to set myself free As I shut the door I shall cry no more The last one is gone I want left alone I have no fear and cried my last tear So now that I shall cry no more Will you step with me onto the dance floor I want to hold you close As we pass the night away I want you to help me Celebrate my setting myself free So dance with me As I celebrate the first day of the rest of my life Hold me tightly But caress my heart lightly For you can’t handle what it holds It has been bent and broken but never lost its love When daylight comes around The world will find me walking on new ground Only smiles and laughter will be found For I have cried my last tear Icyheart/Alan 08/20/01 |
