Listening to every heart

December Mourn

hands, left below, right on top, eye to spy
pull taut thus thy string and eye meal’s conquest
in one’s heart of hearts, know all reasons why
man must stand before beast and all the rest
but to take and flay, then leave behind brace
with no thought to family nor their kin
nay, I cannot, nor e’en see thy face
if for a purse’s coin you’ve taken skin
babes shall call, their cry welt upon thy heart
can honor bound you in some earnest way
acknowledging when eons have given part
lowering bow, so that time has its way
might December touch thee, in this my plea
shall then you see my heart, mourning for thee

Ahh, and the ancient ones would thank the kill in prayer and song for the great gift that they were given, and give honor for what nature had wrought...very gentle smile for a very good write
