Five Senses

There are five doors into my soul
And each would fare a separate toll

The first would look with daring dare
Upon the beauty that is there
T’would open up a door to see
The inner garden lives in me.

The second would offer a rhyme
To float about my head in chime
To lay a song upon my brain
To enter in this door and reign

And third would be the feel of bliss
This sent to me upon a kiss
And this would open door of three
Again to reach inside of me

And four would taste desires wild
By spreading honey over mild
Opening up another door
The one that shows forever more.

And lastly would your smell set plumb
To close the doors and make me dumb
From what is left the world that ‘tis
For this is where my Eden is.

And then the doors would close to stay
A journey’s ever and a day.

I would gladly pay whatever the toll ... to journey into your poetic soul
to walk barefoot in the Eden of your mind ... knowing the beauty I will find
a garden where wisdom grows ... where butterflies flutter beneath rainbows
a journey into the evermore ... where Tinkerbells & Randy dragons can freely soar

this place where rhyme is the only toll ... to travel to the goal of your soul
I'll need no map for this journey to start ... I'll take the shortcut thru your heart

Feels like Im dancing with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred, my heart is humble
Oh warrior show me the light

Great job, Sy, fabulous.  This seems like a great exercise for one to get to know themselves and place it in verse.  What dya think?

A unique approach well presented.  Enjoyed this picturesque pondering.

I missed this one. So glad it got bumped back. For I love the way you use all your senses in this. Opening up all the way into your world of splendor. Superb!

Sincerely,
Regina
