In the winds of Cherokee song

=============
In my soul and in
my heart there lies
a tune that will be
=============
the strumming of
my being in all I
do.  There within
============
all the songs that
I know  will come
as one  in rhythm
============
to quiet my being
with the presence
of a heavy guitar
============
With Lonestar in
my heart in their
"Amazed" I will
============
forever feel love
and with Garth I
ride the western

and Mr. LeDeux

=============
"This Cowboy's Hat"
Neil Diamond may
come into play with
=============
my eyes set to stars
of the night as I see
wishes and dreams
==============
being lofted in the air for that special
heart that is waiting across the miles of a cherished
land.  "For Your Eyes Only" being the messages sent
swirling among the heavens as they search for "My Love"
ignoring not the "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" for one that
has so effectively brought "Joy" into my life.  Now we could
not forget how "These Eyes" just love to see the smile on her
face as she streches in the morning and gazes through space.
With the morning "Sunshine On My Shoulder" making me so
very warm.  "Love Grows" where my butterfly goes and to
me there is "No Greater Love" than one that puts me so
close to the "Top of the World" knowing that "We've
Only Just Begun" to find our way.  She truely is my
"Green Eyed Lady" with the stars of "Venus" in all
she sees.  How could I ever just pick one song to tell
it all when there is so much to me because of "The way
She Love's Me" and to say it all started because once there
was a "Spirit In The Sky" picking it's way to us out among all
others in this life we share.  So for all who want to know me and
all those that really care;  just do me a favor with each and every
song that you hear.  Know that somewhere deep in the words of a
love song and those melodies that we remember so fondly;  there is
a blooming love in the midst of "Heaven's Fair".  There is no fear
in me that I may someday be just "A Clown In Your Rodeo" as I
fear not the love that has been bestowed upon my soul.  My heart
flies free just as a bird would fly and that is why I love to listen
to "Freebird" in my mellow moods.  Now it does't matter what
song you play for me as long as you do just one simple thing.
Do not forget to pick the song that has alot of heavy guitar
like when Mason Williams gave us "Classical Gas" or
when Jimmy played the anthem in fields of grass.

Beacon Of Light

In the
midst   of
growing waves
of anger in the seas
of life, you will find a
light beaming through
your clouds of dispair ;
guiding the lost and the
lonely souls of ships to a
\       \ haven of safe harbor when  /       /
the trials and mysteries of life seem to
be at their worst.  Search out this light
and you shall find the peace
that is offered to us all freely
through "his" grace and the
love that is held out to all of
us without hesitation.   Judge
not the reason of "his" love as
it is offered without reservation
to all who seek it.   All you need
do is to accept the love as the gift
it is and live in "his" light with no
reservation. The light offered from
"his" tower can search out any lost
soul through the darkest of seas and
guide them safely to the warmth that
we all seek. Many men and women are
chosen to shine their light and to guide
those of us that need a little nudge now
and then and they too once were just as
lost as us.   I know this as I have read the
works of one of those shining beacons here
in the pages of Passions and  I have learned
much from him. This little freeverse is for me
to publicly acknowledge this man and to thank
him for all he does so wonderfully.  He may not
always be direct in his words but they never fall
end to the silence of deaf ears and I thank him for
him and his way of lighting the way to the peaceful
knowledge that all we must do is accept this beacon
just as he has.  Lighthouse Bob I thank you and may
you always find the blessings of God at your side daily.

Mark Bohannan

I have found in you ... a reflection of me ...
and a path to the peace I have sought.

I just went back and looked at these again.  I didn't see the first one initially.  These are fantastic.

Mark, I can't tell you what this did for me. Thank you. There is true light in God's love. He is the only one who has the right to judge us and he always forgives when we ask. Isn't it a wonderful thing?  Funny you should write about songs, I've been experimenting with poetry written as I sing and listen to music. I love music. Loved this one.

Mark, WOW, I have to say this is so nice, fun to read, yet with great meaning. You outdo yourself regularly. And I see happiness growing all the time, I hope it is a real and forever happy.
To quote a song I just realized that I like, not of my usual type "I want to come over..to hell with the consequences".
For some reason that struck me yesterday as a strong statement, when combined with my lovelorn feelings.
Anyway..Peace.

I have always thought that guitar was just the coolest thing...and no easy feat either...
its just so cool to look at and then the poem encompasses so much of the music we grew up with...
and the light house...well its so you

and Im sure once your back on the computer full time you will out do your self with a new challenge.
and yeppers..this is for sure a GROOVY

Feels like Im dancin with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred, my heart is humble
Oh warrior show me thy light

Extraordinary, Mark. Often, this type of poem is as empty of thought as a floor plan that can't begin to tell you what the finished house will look like. But you've transcended all of that with the meaning and messages of your writing. Again, simply extraordinary!
