If Flowers Could Scream |

If flowers screamed would I pick them or would I leave them alone? What if as I wrapped my fingers around a stem the bud looked up and said to me: "Please sir, let me live as you live undisturbed by violent hands." Would I remember my sweet love who waits at home expecting a bouquet or would I heed this pleading pink flower? This flower that doesn't nag me about where I'm going at night with my friends or about how much I've had to drink or why the garbage is piled high in the kitchen. "Oh little friend," I would whisper drawing in closer, "I'm afraid you haven't much time. "Pray to God if you have one. "My God is at home looking at the clock and wondering what's taking me so long. "She demands a sacrifice: A pure soul like yours. "If I told her about this conversation she'd admonish me for talking to flowers as she did when I used to apologize to toilet bowls and waste baskets. "No, you must die. "But know your whithering will save me, if only for a week." [This message has been edited by Lance McLove (edited 08-22-2001).] |

Very interesting dialogue...and tell me, did the one flowered bouquet purchase the peace you so desired? Welcome to Passions! |
