There she is again In the smile of her daughter The expression of her son The reminiscing words of her husband Immortalized Through the memories of many By the photos spanning back for years By the bond we shared together Death Hands mourners its calling card of pain Taking loved ones of worth Ones missed and grieved for Many without warning We suffer the loss Trying to carry on as normal Expected to do so To be strong Store the hurt away Far away Endure in silence, alone Everyone suffers Maybe not today But tomorrow, the next day Or the next Each day we grow old together Accidents happen Life will end for us all Just when? Life plays its game of Russian roulette The reaper randomly selecting As we all get on with life Rarely thinking of consequence or death Just the day and what lays ahead As she did |

Dear Sunshine, your beam of warmth touches me with your words, thanks for the reply, I hope all your memories stay well alive of your loved ones. We loose many too soon, but some day again we will meet. Thanks for your reply. Rick |

Very moving, Rick. We're all a little part of everyone in our families. Live today as if it's your last. Love today as if it's your first. Lisa |

This is so touching. I'm so sorry. We never know, and still it hurts. But I do smile when I see the gentle reminders. It's as if they know. I'm just so thankful for others that reach out as you did in this poem. Sincerely, Regina |

Thank you everyone for your wonderful replies, luckily I have not lost anyone, these words were written for a friend who lost her sister suddenly at a party which they were all at, as yet I have not given it to her, feeling it might bring back too much pain, but some day I may. Love all your replies and words of care, thank you all friends. Rick |
