Little butterfly, here and there,
moving petal to petal without scare.
All the shade of summer morn,
reflecting off gossamer wings aborne.
Delicate yellow, purple hue,
spotted orange and deep dark blues.

No chains of life holding down,
freedom of movement to flutter around.
Landing so softly on a bloom,
wings opening and closing to nature’s tune.
What type of world would this be,
without the butterfly flying free.

Some say the butterflies are gentle souls,
returning to life with their goals.
Turning the mind so full of peace,
making all troubles to worries least.
Open yourself to their flying ballet,
be a butterfly heart, this very day

Hi Logan--They are indeed a lovely sight..I have been privalidged to have quite a few come and sit on my hand..made me feel quite special. Your poem is full of the gentleness that you write about.

Dear Logan, The Monarch butterfly migration has started here and it is quite a sight. Very gentle and exquisite write. Left my heart feeling a little lighter today. For this I thank you.

Oh, Sweet One. I'm just in enough of a mood for crying tonight although I don't know why. This poem touched me and made me wish ohh so hard. Its wonderful to have friends like you who write wonderful poems like this.

A beautiful swallowtail [or two or three] greeted my comings and goings yesterday...this brings that image to mind...thank you for sharing...this is very quiet and peaceful in its rendition...

Very sweet and soft. I wrote a butterfly poem once, about my little granddaughters encounter with one. They are special creatures, a role model of freedom.

I happen to have close personal relationships with more than a few butterflies
