Simplistic Intricacies A flower smiled at me today As I sang in a rumpled voice As I talked to myself Making little sense As I danced and shook the ground With my delicacy As I looked around in embarrassment A flower smiled at me today As I frowned with inadequacy As I looked at myself and said Settle down The flower smiled on I thought to myself As I took a sniff This flower is a good Judge of character And I smiled back Throw your heart out in front of you And run out to catch it. Nothing simple about that but it is one of the simplest things to overlook if we aren't paying attention. What a wonderful way to remind us all to slow down and enjoy the true works of art that we are surrounded with daily. Great write. |
