Farewell, Winged Miracle I sigh a breath, dear one, for the majesty you are I hold your monarch dazzle, encased 'neath glass jar Destiny is defied to ensure that you're mine yet, your glow now dims, your spirit grows fragile over time My heart sheds a tear for the truth of reality you were meant to fly through valleys, through fated ecstasy In order to keep you, I know what I must do - open the lid to that jar and let go of you I must honour God's plan for thee I adore - break your chains, allow you to soar To show you my love, I open my hands you were meant to dance with eagles, to kiss distant lands Weave your colours on the wind, flutter gently from my heart greet the life of wonders, imagination shall impart Spreads your wings with passion, exalted and free go to the Lord's garden of sky, to taste sweet reverie Heaven bound 'pon a dove's air of peace, do fly with glee through rays of copper light for all eternity Though my soul shall never laugh again without you, to the sun and moon, I know you must be true Although we cannot embrace life together I remain devoted to the dream, cherishing you forever Do not look back as the breeze carries you away my heart understands...butterflies weren't meant to stay Farewell, precious lover, I now let you go but, remember, my wingled miracle, I love you so By Melissa P. Monette ~ ~ Kindred Butterfly Butterfly, kindred butterfly my sweet little one, greet me with dewdrops on snapdragons rise with tangerine sun Butterfly, angel miracle feathered with rainbow wing waltz with windchimes in evening rain to my heart softly sing Butterfly, glorious beauty breath fairy laughter and lavender dreams paint the trees with marigold memories decorate sky's ebony with starbeams Butterfly, companion rare flutter gracefully by my side wisely to watch over me forever as my guide Butterfly, oh butterfly fill my heart with heavenly splendor, only you can make it beat again only you can kiss it so tender Butterfly, dear majesty follow peace to Venus' kingdom above, one day, we'll soar together there... 'pon the celestial yellow brick road of love Gentle soulmate, elusive friend I bid thee good day with a sigh you shall remain magical as Spring morning mist my devotion is eternal as a butterfly By Melissa P. jeeeezzzzzzzzzz, when you pen with the wing of butterfly in hand you really hit the petals dead center. Beautiful verses for a beautiful lady and her inspiration of life. I am so glad that I ran across these beauties and I must say, if she is going to be spoiled then at least she is being spoiled by one of the best poets of emotion in here. Superb writing and superb heart you share. |
