I saw the crow this morning. On the front lawn, raving. His winged three, fellows of cool. His tuft slicked back and cocky. I smiled, and he threw a whistle. Message clear, he flew away. Cruising the air, his turf. Drag Racing through the valley again. Seems just yesterday, I was thinking. How the sweat was still thick. The sun was still blossomed out. As if I needed to bed check, Charge Extra, I searched the nests of migrants Sure enough, they had packed up overnight. Leaving me a thank you note of leaves. Before I closed the front door on summer. The wind picked up and kissed me Cool, in the first morning breath of fall. |

Last year, the people of North London were ecstatic to see fall and winter set it, because for some reason, crows migrated there in the spring and would not leave. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen, crows as far as the eye can see, very tree just black with them. There must have been 50,000 of them. They stayed from sring, till the snow flew. Rex |

The indications of the coming fall well expressed in this fine piece of writing! Very sagely written! If you think the winds are cool down there in country music country then you should come up here sometime and experience these eastern Canadian winds near the ocean. What a rush they are all the same! Good work! |
