Lap Of Remember

~*Marge Tindal*~

Do you have a lap of remember
where so gently your thoughts lay you down
A soft downy keep of surrender
where memories cascade in surround

Calling sheep home from the meadow
in tenderly-blown notes of the horn
Wool-gathering moments of splendor
in cashmere thoughts of adorn

Serenity-swirled coverlet of recall
brings tenderly-quilted moments to lay
Across this lap of remember
in forevering visions on display

It's so quiet one can hear a butterfly winging
in fluttered flight o'er meadows of the heart
Each swoop brings a sweet sip of nectar
to the soft lap land of ne'er depart

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

heard this one calling...thank you sweet
Marge for weaving one to touch my heart
tonight...even though you couldn't have
known that it would...that's the beauty of
poetry though isn't it~

Marge-
   Ok...I KNOW I read this one...hmmmm...
I absolutely LOVE the thought of this one...

"Do you have a lap of remember
where so gently your thoughts lay you down
A soft downy keep of surrender
        where memories cascade in surround"

That's just such a comforting thought.
Another soft and tender render from your pen.
   Wonderful!

   Love and hugs,

I just felt I was wrapped in the softest cashmere blankie, and then the end came, and I had to unravel, but with such wonderful thoughts.  Oh, this one absolutely loved me.  She is in the library with some lovely company now.  Stately and elegant is right!

If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed

Marge, this is really pretty...

                             "Serenity-swirled coverlet of recall
                           brings tenderly-quilted moments to lay
                               Across this lap of remember
                              in forevering visions on display"

Nice combination of choice words into beautiful poetic lines and on into excellent verses... I never had a comforter that was ever that elegant........I love it...."Lap Of Remember" Think I'll curl up under the vision of it and go to sleep!

Marge

My "Lap of Remember" has always been
Granny's.  Nothing is as comforting as
being in the arms of my Grandmother.
Excellent post.  Really got me thinking.
I think I'll go tell my Grandmother how
much I love her.  Thanks Marge.

Everyone has commented on this so much, it's had to say something new.  Just the same, I like this very much, both the picture and the poetry.
