Lips of Bliss

As I gaze
across the horizon
of this night ...
knowing
all boundaries
are set in the level
of purity
within our love ...
I find reassurance
in the lack
of headboards
constricting it's yawn
as it stretches
the depths
of our dreams
across infinite heavens.

Rising
to the mist
of jubilant stars
fogging mankind's reality ...
a breath
of virgin breeze
laces
our fingertips
and carries us
towards the cradle
of Jupiter.

With spellbound whispers
carressing
a field of constellations
toward
the promise of tomorrow ...
we recline
against the shadows
of eternity
as the lips of bliss
come together
and tuck us in ...
to a lullaby
of forever.

Hey baby...I'd quote lines, but it'd be the entire poem...this is beautiful, and I absolutely love it, and yes, I AM biased...but, really, your free verse just takes my breath away...the images in this are just spectacular, as usual...wonderful work, my sweet...

*sigh*  so beautiful....I enjoyed every line, but I must say these last ones were my favourite:

"we recline
against the shadows
of eternity
as the lips of bliss
come together
and tuck us in ...
to a lullaby
of forever."

And why, may I ask, are you called Cowboy?

Enjoyed the write!

Mark, I haven't been on pasins for so long, well I have but not actively. I've been a litle bit below par, but I'm rising again. I have missed your work. Being in love suits you very well.

You always did have a great ability, and it is still there, keep us swooning here.
I loved the feelings expressed in this, truly fabulous
Take care

Those must be some kinda goovy lips ...
cuz this is some kinda awesome poem

MC youre taking your imagery to new heights with this write of high inspire.
I love the ethereal mood of this
like a celestial cruise on the love boat.
You know I always love your free verse and when youre well inspired you take us to the stars with your hearts anticipation.
That second verse is worth its weight in poetic gold...awesome imagery and romantic intend. And  what impresses me the most is just how much imagery you created in so few verses...your pen painted us a starlit kiss in the heavens.
very cool write my friend...
I do believe you hung the moon ... and theres nothing left to do but swoon.

Mark sweetie, all I can add to what has been mentioned above by our PoetFriends is this poem you share has me completely captivated in every line...

The purity and gentleness of this love you describe is kinda like one that only the heavens above could bless upon two beings on these earthly grounds and we all know that's the sweetest kinda love that ever exists...

So bottom line with me, I strongly concur with SweetieJanetMarie, it's perfect in content and flow...

Thank you all very much once again for all the wonderful replies.  I do so appreciate each and everyone of them and you.  Sorry it seems to always take so long for me to thank you all but hopefully soon all my time won't so taken up by this terrible thing they call work.  Now on to read some of your wonderful works.  Thanks again very much.

this reminds me of kissing underneath the stars on a blanket with a bottle of wine hoping the cops wouldn't pull up with their headlights and ruin the excitement of it all.

Not that I ever did that   but let's say if I did!

Martie-Thank you much and if you say it becomes me then it must be so.

Holly-Okay, so no blonde jokes but only this time...you can't get away with it forever.  Thank you so much my dear friend and it is I who am not only lucky but blessed as well.

Rosebud1229-I am glad you found it awesome.  Thank you greatly.

Enchantress-Thank you much for the kind reply and the hug.

Krista-You know that it always brings a smile to my face to see your name on my poems but even more so to find one of yours to delight my senses, so count on me searching you out as well.  Thank you very much.

Charisma-I am glad it could stir some feelings in you and it is a pleasure always to hear from you.  Thank you much.

Cerenity-I doubt that my words have anything to get you halfway to heaven but it is so nice to know that you are on that path.  Thank you much.

Kay-I am sure that you only heard about that from others but I am glad it brings a memory anyway.  Thank you much.
