She is the night that comes to me And before I succumb, I pray She closes my eyes to everything else And unto her I give myself away She is the night, and I am the day She offers me comfort like a warm caress Felt not on skin, but within the mind I look forward to sleeping inside her And losing sense of measured time She that is different, yet of like mind She is beauty that darkness brings Wrapping me wholly, swallows the light She tends to my darkened garden Upon the bed of second sacred sight She is the giver of dreams, she is the night |
