As Balladeer, so eloquently said: "Our Lady Cried"..our Country bled, Innocent people in buildings and planes, Heartache and anquish, suffering and pain United we stand, in God we trust Not Falwell or Robertson, they only disgust! Osama Ben Laden, Saddam Hussien, No conscience-no God, Criminally insane The red for "His" blood-white stripes washed us clean The stars all together, like the world's never seen, If I were granted one wish, I'd surrender my wealth, If I could be "point" man, in that squadron of Stealths. I've experienced conflict, death-honor-war But my country fought there, not on my shores May God bless the victims, their families and friends, the volunteers too, most honorable of men! |

I don't believe the man exists who is more proud to be American than you, Toe. I salute you, good sir. You grab Ben Laden's right leg and I'll grab his left and then we'll make a wish, whaddayasay? |

Wonderful poem, and if you and Balladeer turn him into a wishbone, I wish to be standing in the middle with pliers please ~* If you want a rainbow, sometimes you just have to put up with a little rain *~ |

Yes! I want to hear the voices of our common people. I don't want any TeleEvangelist or Mad Men speaking for us any more! Take hold and hang on to the hands of people for the people. Wonderful write. Sincerely, Regina |

Hey Toe, nice to see you, even if it is ever-so-briefly! You did a wonderful job with this, and we all feel a myriad of emotions, these are troubled times to be sure, and it ain't over yet. I just hope we make the right decisions in the days to come...Whatever they may be. Corinne |

Stirring, heartfelt words from one of the best men this country (or any other) has ever known. *S* Reading them makes me once again so proud to call you friend. *S* I'd love for you and Bal to have the opportunity to pull that wishbone... but I think Mysteria's pliers would have nothing to grab... this was an act of cowardice arranged by someone completely lacking a heart... a hollow shell of hatred. I was late responding, but your poem is timeless, Toe... It's simply superb. *S* |
