I think I know that raindrop, it's fallen here before, reborn on a mountaintop then spring it waited for. Helped to grow a bumper crop until its Aunt Downpour coaxed it with a lolliplop to join a rivers roar. Briefly made a bucket stop, a labor pooled detour, briskly jerked up by a mop then through the kitchen door. Then by hand sponged, it was sopped and squeezed to pail once more, back to river it was dropped continuing its tour. It passed the fishing pro shop, it saw the sandy shore, did a silent belly flop deep down to oceans floor. It rose astride an airdrop what seemed forevermore, broke seas surface, didn't stop drawn to clouds reservoir. It came to rest over top my head outside a store and there it chose to kerplop, old friends we don't ignore. |

really enjoyed this, a grand way to tell the water cycle and a very cute ending might be good placed in a children's non-fiction science reader with super illustrations |

RSWells~ I just LOVE this~ 'I think I know that raindrop, it's fallen here before, reborn on a mountaintop then spring it waited for.' Wonderfully detailed imagery~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Wonderous tale of a rain drop. I agree with VAS. I could picture it coming to life the whole verse. Now everytime it rains, I'll remember this. Sincerely, Regina |

RS--the first poem I ever wrote was when I was five...(I still have it) and it was about the cycle of rain. This just made me smile! Thank you! ![]() |

Well if you lived in Vancouver you would not like this friend much as here we don't grow old we just rust from the amount of rain - well done Richard, and a very, very cute ending to this poem. If you have but one true friend when you die you were truly blessed |
