"Dreams"

Dreams, they are such special things
like wonderful bright toys.
They comfort me with happiness;
sweet and youthful joys.

Dreams, they come at twilight time,
or any time of day,
when my thoughs slip in between the practical and play.

Dreams, they take shape and come to view
like visions in my mind.
They warm my heart with thoughts of you
and leave my cares behind.

Dreams, sweet dreams, are magic spells
that keep my soul afire,
with thoughts of you to make me soar
till I can go no higher.

Dreams are things within my heart,
that bring you close to me;
thoughtful wishes from my soul,
desires that long to be.

Lady in White, thank you for your kind comments. My words come from the softer side of me. It is not unmanly to express it... and if it wells up inside to overflowing... then it must present itself.
