We find them almost everywhere even in the most desolate of places They have the capacity to warm our hearts brighten up a room bring a smile to the sick and bring comfort in times of grief They are a symbol of love a gift from nature a token of hope and a sign of happiness and forgiveness They come in all the colors of the rainbow with some possessing a fragrance that is heaven sent How we marvel at their beauty as they captivate the most romantic of souls The humble flower would have to be the epitome of nature's creations They can be found at the saddest of ceremonies at the most romantic of evenings and at the happiest of events They are all around us every day but we sometimes pass them by without giving them a second glance instead of stopping to admire their true beauty They blow gently in the warm Summer's breeze and are beaten about by the cold unforgiving winds of Winter A flower symbolises life itself It says "I love you" it says "I'm sorry" and it brightens up our being Each flower is a masterpiece on nature's canvas a part of nature's finest jewellery collection and a delight to the senses Each new season brings forth new life and a neverending bouquet of joy Suetang |

I love flowers but my garden died this year through neglect, I just didn't give it the proper care. I vow right here and now that NEXT year I am going to have the most glorious flowers. " I walked beside the evening sea And dreamed a dream that could not be" George William Curtis" |

lovely poem Sue...goes with that old saying, "stop and smell the flowers!" Thank you for the reminder ~Krista "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. |

When I was in the navy my wife gave me a small pot of begonias to put on my desk.I believe it was the only growing plant on the ship.No matter how busy or tired I got.I took care of that plant. It reminded me of the flowers that grew in my yard back home. paladin [This message has been edited by paladin (edited 08-08-2001).] |

They are truly beautiful to behold. This reminds me of being at my parents house, where my mother always had tons of flowers. My father tends to them even today. A labor of love in his eyes. Thank you for the memories, Sue. All writing comes |

Such strength in such fragility in all terrains they grow, I laud you your ability to remind what we should know, that flora is stability, adds balance as we go, aroma and tranquillity to the heart when feeling low. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to decieve" |
