Interval Seven-thirty: twilight blushes trees into brandy - sans sifters, golden air begs to be drunk, taken in deep sighs – from eye to mind, in s l o w i n g cadence, exhalation of the foul to sip upon the sweet. © 2001 Corinne Bailey |

This is one you read again and again, and the drink is ever sweet each time. Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

Well, not sure I understand the meaning behind the poem although it has interesting flow... What might golden air bags be? Parker |

Martie, I don't whether to look on this as a the gentle kiss of alcohol or that slow sinking feeling into the bottom of a glass. I have experienced both far too often, which you intend this is a beautifully written poem. shadows flicker sweet end tame |

Thank you, Sunshine, yep you got it! Thanks also, Sey, Nan, Marge and CitizenX. Yes, its about a bad, stressful day, coming home and suddenly noticing the beauty in the outside world, how just watching trees before sunset can relax both body and mind, if we just take the time to appreciate them. Hey... well you know that trick of the eye.. when you read something over and over and you see something else. Its like dyslexic vision or something. Like when I see Corinne... it comes out Irish.. testy Irish at times... Parker |

"exhalation of the foul to sip upon the sweet". Yes I see now, this is the trouble with me not giving poems the time they fully deserve. I shall endevour to read slower in future. shadows flicker sweet end tame |
