Sweet gardenias linger upon the night
flowing  a waterfall of temptation
Oh! How she wishes, she will wake in the morn
and bathe within the petals of passion
Drowning in bouquet of love bittersweet
white velvet tickling between toes, discreet
Oh! To awake with  gardenias in her hair
maybe someone mysterious will place it there
opened French Door invites cool night air
moonlight reflects upon jeweled lavalliere
a candle dripping eternity of tears
kiss of a wish soft upon her cheek
scent of gardenia lingers upon the night
woven in her hair, gardenias' creamy white

Victoria~
This is just so lovely ...
Gardenia is my favorite flower and you've
left the scent of it all over this beautiful piece.

Also visited your web site ...
You've got some lovely stuff happening there !

The scent of gardenias is one of my favorites. Always reminds me of my Mom. Not that this poem did..
Love this.

Gorgeous Poetic aroma, Victoria.  *s*

What a wonderful way to start ANY day, by breathing in
that bouquet.  Almost impossible to stay sour when something
that stunning in nature captures us, isnt' it?
much in the way this poem captured me....sigh.....SR

Victoria-
This is lovely, and so softly written.
   It just whispers...
   Beautifully done.
