The grasp of panic this conceal, this harboring inside, it, an unnamed dread a fright, anxiety your name is it in my head even knowing it does not relieve nor reprieve nor cast aside all this grief attended as if it were whole and in this hold stands a puppet to bear alone facing you, for it is a fearsome thing, nothing one would allow harboring ‘round dearest kin nor kith nor any being, yet it, in terror, brings memory of long decades gone bye yet it still comes, a silent cry unheard, a tuberculosis pain of preventative needling to insure further grief lessening a lance of metal’s thin breaks beneath skin of child who then cries, wild and then rush of physicians whom, in one’s pain tried to gain esteem in a child’s eyes false heroes in the flash of distress body, strange, estranged memory from moment lessened foment but inside, it reigned, needling of any sort brings about the pain in the faint there is no feint as in recall one would mark an epitome of time in a realize, but… it will not allow compromise even when the grasp is loose between it harbors in silent waiting [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 08-03-2001).] |

Dear Sunshine, again unsure, but do you carry the pain of decades, do you carry a burden which a child has ladened you with, does some kind of nightmare haunt? If so, I hope sharing these words will help, I read your piece a few times, very moving and I had the feel of sadness. Try smiling a little more and thinking happy thoughts Be well, your stories tell. Rick |

Whatever causes IT to grasp, IT is an unwelcome companion and you've written well the wish to walk free of IT and the frustrated plodding when IT won't leave. This is a sad and haunting piece, very well done. |

Hi Sunshine, I just found a ring that I'd lost a few days ago. My parents had given it to me for graduation and it was a symbol of their love and trust and pride in me.When I first realized that the ring wasn't on the familiar place on my finger, I paniced! I was gripped by IT. But I just found the ring. so I'm feeling much better. Anyway, I loved the poem. Your poetry is so well expressed. Panic can be vague, or poignant, being with out it is a blessing. Love be with you, Samia |
