Just One of Those Things it’s just one of those things like stale perfume stinking that was so sweet yesterday lingers around reeking words and actions said in haste or never said or done at all that can never be erased the hallway where you should have turned right but you went left out of revenge where you should have said NO but instead ended up with a weak sorry it’s just one of those things one no matter how you try you just can’t get back over that burnt bridge "...the rest is silence" (Hamlet) Shakespeare |

Give it time, if it's meant to be the sweet smell will return once again. Don't give up on what just yesterday was wonderful. Sometimes the good things in life take longer, be patient, work harder, if you really want it, if it was yours to begin with it will come back. Your words are sad, I hope you find it again, I look forward to the happy writes you post. |

The part that upsets me is when you believe you are doing everything right and you still lose a relationship...and you can remember a relationship when you know you did everything wrong and she stuck around for ages...just one of those things...James |

Oh, much truth to this one. Words left unsaid carry as much weight as those that were. It's very sad, but it happens a lot I think. Good write, helen. All writing comes |

the hallway where you should have turned right but you went left out of revenge where you should have said NO but instead ended up with a weak sorry ah... wrong choices..and we are faced with a burned bridge... Nicely written and I hope there is at least a ford to cross where the bridge was and that stranded...no one ends |

you can't go back. . . that's the one harsh truth that we have to face. . . you can only go forward. . . alone or together. . . well done helen. . . you pen these with such emotion. . . ----------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Well done...felt so much anguish for the perpetrators that my first thought was: "Get a rope!" Not to string em up...but to build a new bridge...where there's life there's hope. This was a powerful piece and a good read, though painful in its message. |
