forty years uncovered all little children sing and dance given a little freedom’s chance they have that gift deep in their soul they can inspire rock and roll Rod on my left, Neil on my right see how I made it through my nights chasing Sloopy down a cowboy’s trail hearing Sweet Caroline in Neil’s wail forty years gone, now knowing why their very words could make me cry I’ll bare yet these questions in me as layer by layer I loosen free that which is in the heart of me underneath music’s poetry long long ago in my sweet teens I’d drop the moon to bring me dreams warm, touching warm left me in awe while Stanyan Street’s song left me raw so ask me not who has inspired my love of words or how transpired my muse who now brings forth to me what gifts I share by writing free and if there be a dream come true I would bring Rod and Neil to you for they would help you to see why my soul is moved, these tears to cry that which is in the heart of me underneath music’s poetry |

It's funny how music plays such a part in everyones life..........everyone has their own soundtrack I guess? Yours seems familiar but different. Words and music are very powerful don't you think? Stay warm Jon |

This actually brought a little tear to my eye...it's amazing how a song can transport us back...there are some I hear that even remind me of certain SMELLS from a certain time. If Neil and Rod were the inspiration for your beautiful words, then they are more talented than I ever gave them credit for! Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

Theirs are some of the most poetic songs that have ever been written! It's easy to see that you are filled with their inspiration! [This message has been edited by Denise (edited 07-29-2001).] |

All I can say is AMEN, so very accurate in all of this writing. (I saw Neil Diamond in concert on TV last night, still as wonderful as ever ) Much enjoyed miss Sunshine, as always. Sandra |

ah yes, memories...isn't it true that as the years progress we strive to create better ones and yet the oldest of these will never quite compare? Nice work! Michael Michael Auguste~ |
