i have a frined who is very dear to me.
shes been there through the good times and the bad.
kept me calm when i got mad.
was always there when i was sad.

now she is gone.
it's called college.
she has gone away and left me here.
but i know she will be back.

i want to thank you friend,
for being all that you are.
and never giving up on me.
for always being there,
and never leaving my side.

This one is very good. I liked this poem, but not the fact that your friend had to leave, it hit a little too close for comfort. I am moving from the place I have lived the last 11 years of my life, and a great friend I have had all those years, one whom i am putting in the same position as you are in. It is sad.
