“Elements” Elements powers Rulers of this world Protectors and predators Of all those who inhabit the earth These forces Of earth Fire Wind Water And spirit Effect us all in more ways Then we could ever imagine For they not only live within the world But within each of us as well Each of them Live inside us Dispersing their qualities Throughout our daily chores From the slightest act of walking To the greatest act of all Love Earth Stones Grass and trees Mighty strength Held out for all to see Shaking our worlds Bring you to your knees The earth resonance’s With the beating of your heart When you see the one you love Fire Passion Burning bright Guiding us forward Through the darkness within The driving force Passions will Fueling our lives Bringing meaning to it all For without it we would see no light Thus we shall surely fall Wind Time Slowly moving Onward all alone Through life’s many chasms The minds dilemma On which road to choose Left or right at the fork A decision must be made Before time passes by Letting the winds sweep Away all chances for love Water life Calling us To its shores Crashing against the shore The element of life Without it all would perish Purifying the body and mind Just as love keeps us alive Purifying our hearts and souls Spirit Unseen Guiding force Protecting us all With its loving embrace Feelings of joy Surrounding our souls Keeping our faith Where there is not to be found Love is fragile The slightest thing Can put everything out of balance So it is necessary to maintain This balance For without it Everything is lost So it is seen That love can not only Be known by the Senses of man But by the elements Of the very world itself For love is not but a single entity But rather It is the embodiment all things It has been that way since the beginning And will continue to be that way beyond the end of time for love is eternal It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that. |

I thought you did quite well on the poem. I have seen better, but the way it was written did fancy my liking. Well done.  I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |
