in the pouring rain

Sun crested one morn
In a hot fall lite sky
As the twin towers held
Majesty would soon die

Unsuspecting people
Stepped on many planes
Loved ones bid farewell
Unaware of future pain

As New York woke up
To a clear orangish hue
Smoke would soon fill the air
As the planes shall crash through

Screams no longer the silence
As the twin towers bowed down
You could hear certain despair
God disowned Americas twilight crown

Flames rose to the sky
As many lives were lost
Surely the terror
Would pay a lifeless cost

He knew what he was doing
Souls brought back to his kingdom
United as one
We are Americas proud freedom

Well, all your hard work paid off, cuz this is a GREAT poem.  It is a wonderful dedication to those who suffered or died on that ominous day...  Good Job!
