"A Writer Of The Heart"(Part One) (If Your Heart's Not In It...So Be It) © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 Pen and paper ain't enough Write for money you lose your touch Some people say it's easy To write love songs don't take that much But what do you gain by saying: "I love you" a million times more Try to paint a picture like "The rusty light, hits the naked floor" Because it.... Chorus 1 Takes more then sand and stone, More then writing I'm alone. I'm drowning in sorrow, And my heart losts it glow. A cigarette burns itself out, In a tiny yellow ashtray Next to a a bottle of whiskey The snorring man's done for today You see it...
