floating down a river...

I see too many unwanted things,
So I learn to close my eyes,
This way I don't feel the pain,
Of the scars from your lies.

You always know what to say,
And I never know what to do,
I let your words in my head,
And I give in to you.

I can't stand to be alone,
So I learn to believe your smile,
I know it's fake and misleading,
But I'm just a girl in denial.

It needs work, I know, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

Don't keep your eyes closed for too long though

I just like people who use punctuation in their poems, and you are one of them. So, that is a plus side already. Just keep writing I guess. You have a lot of talent in writing. Thanks for the wonderful read.
