A Brilliant Cover Up |

She pulls her hair back, Away from her face, But immediately puts it back, To hide dark circles and red scars, No one needs to know, About another rough night, She especially doesn't need reminding, She looks in the mirror, Considers her reflection and laughs, Because she doesn't even feel the pain anymore, She tries to be strong, But it doesn't make a difference, Tonight'll be just like the last, She'll come home completely numb, To another sleepless night, With her waiting anxiously for the sunrise, So she can cover her face, And try to get through another day. "Little holes in parachutes won't leave you falling, if they do, it's because you want to land."-Something Corporate |
