"We Used To" © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 I Thought I was dreaming When I saw you packing your stuff, You said you were leaving Mumbled something bout had enough. Looked at you all speechless You looked at me and said goodbye, Left me as a total mess Since then my eyes haven't been dry. Lift: When I look into my eyes, I reminisce the good times. (We had....) All the laughs, all the mad fun, Back when you and I were one. (Way back...) Chorus We used to go to carnivals We used to buy Christmas trees, We used to sneak in theaters We used to split a number three. We used to go out ice skating We used to shop for groceries, We used to do so many things Now it's all just plain memories. We used to's, we used to's...no more Verse 2 Since you left me that day I've felt so cold and all alone, 'Cause it's all work, no play And the house doesn't feel like home. Still I keep keeping on All though it hurts like hell inside, Still can't believe you're gone That's why I cry alone at night.
