in the pouring rain

Looking up
A ray of light
Hits my face
Floods my soul
Smiles dance
In my eyes
It beams down
Keeps me safe
I sigh
Life is perfect
For the moment
Time
Stands still
My arms rise
To the sky
Open up
Expect something
But I get
All the joy
From that light
Beam on me
Can’t get me
Down
To perfect
To perfect
