Go ahead, Strip me down to my barest elements. I need this, I need to feel anything, To know that I haven't gone completely numb. The feel of you skin, As it slightly grazes mine, Takes me away from this dark, cold reality. You whisper something inaudible, The words don't matter, Just the warmth of your breath on the crook of my neck, Is enough to let me know I'm alive. I taste the sweet flavor of euphoria, As our bodies become one entity. For those few blissful moments, I am able to forget, Forget the world, Forget the pain, Forget reality. Thanks for reading guys. It's good to have a place to show my writing to people and get honest feedback. |

I really like your poem. I can't help but admit that wish that I was as blessed as you to have someone that reminds you that you aren't dead...emotionally or physically. I know how it feels to need like that. |
