Yet another of my posts. You guys have been really supportive of me, and I really appreciate it. I spend a very large chunk of time thinking about love and relationships and loneliness. And there's nothing I hate worse than, "Go to school. Forget about love and all that, you're too young." grrrrrr I am going to school, in fact I'm going to college to study Theology here soon -- so go jump! lol

Anyway, without further ado, Do I Have to Cry?

Do I have to cry
In order to catch your eye?
The love we held precious
You now take for granted
And I don't know what to do
I find I'm still loving you

But I'm just a fixture
You keep like a picture on the wall

Do I have to cry
To show what I feel inside?
Friends try to console me
But words just can't hold me
The way your arms used to do
When we'd love the whole night through

Still, I'll keep a smile up
While tears seem to pile up inside

I thought true love
Was something that would never change
Like in the stories mama told
To put me off to sleep

Now am I wiser knowing nothing ever stays the same
But there are some of those fairy tales you've got to keep

Or you might as well die

If love should return
And you don't know what to do
You don't have to run back
As long as you come back to me

And don't be surprised if I should cry

you won't have to cry with words like these.
a sad and wise write.

you have strength and a pen.
you don't need tears. (except maybe for a lil inspiration.... that's all the use i have for 'em
