"How Many Lonely Nights" © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved How many lonely nights Must I lay awake in this empty bed Within this hollow room? How many lonely nights Must i face without you before I get To the place where I'm doomed? Every now and then I, I begin to get a little nervose Did I do all I could? Between the question'a why I can feel a strange uninvited guest Sometimes I wish I could? Sometimes I wish I could Make everything start all over And take my time to do it right Then I would hold you much closer At morning, noon, and suppertime Sometimes I wish I could How many lonely nights Oh, can a loveless heart wander about Before it fall apart? How many lonely nights Before comes the guilt, before comes the doubt And the true missing start? Some tv commercials Describes the way that I feel about you Within 30 seconds? Moments they are special And moments without you makes me feel blue It's something so hard to mend? Sometimes I wish I could Make everything start all over And take my time to do it right Then I would hold you much closer At morning, noon, and suppertime Sometimes I wish I could How many lonely night's Waiting for me in the rest of my life? Brian, you've written something which is so sad. Sometimes you won't learn to cherish someone, until you've lost him/her. This is a lesson we all must learn. I just hope everything will work out for you.  _,,,^.^,,,_ |
