I can see it in your eyes,
the hurt I have put you through,
Just for holding on to this love.
Things will never be the same.
We both made the choice to end this relationship,
and now must pay the price.
The price isnt small nor large,
and not in money.
The price is just friends, thats all.
But that's not what I want,
I want you to be my man again,
My lover, my love.
But this is for the best.
Just friends, thats all.
Why do you want to settle for friends,
when you can have me?
Every inch of me from my head to my toes,
It's all about me!
But we both made the choice to be single,
The long distance relationship just didnt work out.
now we are just friends.

this was a nice write Lisa. Seems you put alot of feeling into it. I especially liked this part:

Just friends, thats all.
Sometimes friends is the only choice you have.

Im not real shur what to say considering im at the point of wanting to end my year and 3 month relationship with my boyfriend and bring it to the dreaded "just friends" point...but i can understand the pain and frustration of it. Im sorry that you and your boy are only friends right now..hopefully things will change around and you can be together again
