In My Place

You tell her words that you told me,
As I try hard to understand
What it is that I did wrong,
and why now you hold her hand.

You act like I'm not alive
I don't know why I even try
Why do you say that you don't care
If you can't bear to see me cry?

I remember when I was in her place
and I wish that she could see.
That everything you've said to her,
You've also said to me.

You promised this and promised that,
and not one promise was held true.
Now you promise her all the same,
And I only wish she knew.

Now you walk by me like I'm nothing,
I wonder if I'm even missed
How can you treat me like I'm nothing?
It's like I don't even exhist.

Why do you do this to me?
Why do I continue to hold on?
I just can't comprehend the fact,
That you are really gone.

I reminice in the past
As I give you one last glance
and I wish that she wasn't there
So that I could have another chance.

I'd give everything I have
To have another chance with you
I can't escape these memories,
I can't get over losing you.

wow! first of excellent poem...and second...please dont go back to him if thats what hes doing...hes not worth it at all and hell just hurt you over and over again...things will get better...youll see

once again...awesome poem!

This really was phenominal. I can relate tho this soo well, and it's nice to know that someone else out there knows how it is. I hope everything works out well for you in the end...keep writting!
