I'm not too proud of this, I wrote it mainly out of anger, I don't like it very much, but I'm not sure if its the topic or the peom itself that is making me not like it. opinions needed.

My name is unimportant,
But my story must be told.
It screams from the depths of its inner being,
That it can't be hidden anymore!
With my name unknown,
my story will now unfold.

Today is important,
Mommy told me so.
She says today is my birthday,
today I am five,
a time to celebrate.
Everyone will come she says,
If they love me anyways.
But now the cake is gone,
the ice cream long ago melted.
Its time to open presents,
i look for you again.
Where are you Daddy?
I need you here, right now.
I got a new game today Daddy,
I need you to play with me.
But your not here, you never were.
Don't you love me Daddy?
Where were you on my special day?

A year has now passed,
And I've learned to be silent,
When Mommy and Daddy yell.
Hiding under a blanket helps,
I can pretend I'm in another world.
Did I just hear a door slam?
Where did Daddy go?
Why is Mommy crying,
and going to sleep by a pill?
My young mind does not understand,
I just cant comprehend,
why Daddy would leave,
on such a cold night,
and leave Mommy here all alone.
Dawn returns, and with it Daddy.
So I block out the images,
of Mommy's tears,
and pretend I dont know a thing,
about our little house on a hill.

Time goes on, four years go by,
and lifes continues to stay the same.
Four years with Mommy,
but shes acting funny,
no time for hugs and games.
Daddys rarely home,
I wonder where He goes?
Then one day, he calls for a change.
He says things will be different.
Daddy will more often be home.
We leave the West, and head for the South,
But in this new home,
Frightening things are about.
My overall straps just became handles,
As Daddy throws me on the bed.
I'm sorry I didn't make the Honor Roll Daddy!
I'm sorry I'm not just like you.
You've beat me till I'm black and blue,
I almost wish I were dead.

Five years have passed.
Fifteen years of age,
Living life in the fast-pace,
I have so many dreams and plans.
Putting my past behind me,
I reach out to take fate's hand.
I'm ready to change the world,
I'm going to make the evil of the world run!
But now, Daddy stops me,

"Your much too young,
No major impact will be done.
Stay here and be my little girl,
And to you no harm will come."

No longer a girl, But now a young woman,
I stand before this stranger,
Who calls himself my father.
And my heart lets go,
Of my untold fears.

"Who are you, you stupid coward,
To now dare walk into my life!
You ran from me when I needed you,
You feared my innocent child-like love!
You condemn me on all levels,
Yet have no room to speak.
You try to tell me where to go,
who I may speak with,
even when to go to bed.
You b@st@rd, leave!
You have no Authority here!
you thought you had me,
that I'd always be here!
But now, the joke is on you!
In my child-like state, I was weak,
But now I am strong, be gone!
I've come to far,
to let your lies, pull me back to the grave.
Once you hurt me, now I hope I hurt you.
Once you rejected me, but now I will reject you.
Once You left me, now I will leave you, all alone."

With my name un-known,
My story now told,
But far from over,
no, its just starting to unfold.
