Black Roses

Surrounded by black roses
Withered from a weary existence
Once vibrant, once comforting
Now emotionless, passionless
Lost in a world of deliberate agony
Surrounded by black roses
Lacking elegance it once held
Modernized to a world of destruction
Heartless and numb, somber and suffering
Lost in a world of deliberate torment
Surrounded by black roses

I actually don't care for roses at all...but the poem is very good

Marvellous! Black roses are my favourite of all flowers so you've definitely got a fan of this piece here.
The representation of a withered life through the roses is well done, Lisa. I like the images I'm getting out of this and the way it reads is just amazing.
