She flew high She was strong Nothing could hold her down Nothing could hurt her Her wings stayed white and clean As did her heart Even with the evil around her She remained untarnished But now they have found her weakness They have broken her wings The very strength of them Is now beginning to fade The whiteness of them have become tarnished Her heart has become clouded The evil is beginning to seep into her skin And course thru her veins Who can save her? Who can mend her wings? Who can cleanse her heart? Who can flush her veins? What can be done With this crippled angel ---Night Angel |

Wow...i really loved this one. I think it is so true for a lot of people. We all like to think we're invincible and that nothing can hurt us, and then someone finds a way to knock us down, "break our wings" so to speak. Just remember that the people who do this aren't worth being permanently scarred by. Surround yourself with people who will mend your wings and help you fly again... I think I used one too many metaphors here ![]() Keep writing! ~Kandi The day you were born, you were born free |
