Why does life have to be so cruel?
You think your up and you suddenly fall
Your happy one minute the next your not
It’s your birthday soon you hope they've forgot
You don't want any fuss
Want to run under a bus
You curl up for bed
Don’t ever want to raise your head

Contemplate life
Why so full of strife?
Contemplating dying
So sick of trying
People use you
And there’s nothing you can do
Pushing people away
You still have to fight another day
What’s in the future will you survive?
As long as you don't take a massive nosedive.

Will it always be like this?
Or will my life turn to bliss
I pray to God to show me the way
So I can fight another day.
Lord helps me through this life of sin
So I can know where to begin
A new phase, of a new life
Which is not so full of strife.

Thank you sea, this is the first proper poem i had ever written and im afraid my many poems after i wrote this one took the same sad tone, life is not great at the moment but i am glad that God gave us poetry as it is a way i feel to express my feelings.

I see you have already been welcomed officially, but I'd like to welcome you to Pip as well. I love this poem, and Sea is a smart woman, listen to her, God will guide you and hopefully soon life will be happy again. I know where you are at, I've been there myself, and life does get better.

Im glad you like the poem because although it has bad memories for me i feel it is one of my best to date and i find a new strength in it everytime i read it.

well I would say welcome
but eveyone else already said it
so why does life have to be so cruel.
well I've been through bad stages in my life,
almost always there one of these two causes (sometimes both)
1: you've got too many things going on in your life
try letting some of them go
as counterintuitve as this sounds
do fewer things, work lees, and try to find time for life's little pleasures.
2: some one you trust is sabotaging your life.
it might be some one as close to you as a good friend, a bf, or even parents
take some time to look closely at what has gone wrong lately
why did they go wrong.
remember thy say that the lord helps those who help themsevles(not that Im much of a cleric)
