You raise your fists Rant and rave Kick up a little cloud of dust Show us all you're a part of the scene Just don't pretend That you're my friend You would'nt give me the time If there wasn't a social ladder to climb You smile and chat Twist knives in my back I wonder if you'll ever learn That friendship is not a competition If you need to try It's not gonna fly There's no need to cry Now you've met someone that you couldn't buy You don't care Just care that people think you care When popularity is everything Truth is nothing. |
