Thick roses bleed out onto cold, black concrete, at least in your eyes Blink again to resurface, leaving only the residue of heavy rains and lies you entertained quite simply to make it all okay Only to find that despite them falling all over for you and claiming truth, there exists, apparently, far too much of the real you No reputation or golden shrine could ever make you so devine that they'd stay and do as they do No, not after they know what it means to be loved by you - their walking kryptonite -- the calm before the storm -- |
