ok, i know this isnt my best, but it got me out of my block. tell me wut u think

Forgive me father,
For I have sinned.
I’ve let the devil,
See my darkness within.

He came here,
And stole my friend.
My very life,
May come to an end.

I must not let him see,
My one, true weakness.
Nor am I gonna tell him,
I’ll just leave him to guess.

He’ll have to guess my passions,
And what causes my pain.
Maybe after he triumphs over me,
He can save me from my ball and chain.

The one that always,
Drags me down.
The one that always,
Makes me frown.

Maybe after he knows the truth,
Maybe he can save me.
Maybe from that burden,
He can make me free.

Deep poem.. I like it. We all have a darkness within, it's hard to control, but we manage eh?

After Love comes Pain, then Love, Then Pain, then Love, then Pain..... does anyone else see a pattern here? Oh well, can't say it's not worth it.

Hmm...I'm smiling and toying with the idea of putting in my initial reply but anyway, the piece provokes quite a few thoughts. A mate of mine would get a kick out of the last stanza.
