~ Secretly in Love ~
I wrote this about a month ago, and yes, I still feel this way towards him...

This feeling that I have
is driving me insane,
knowing that inside your heart
you may not feel the same.

You’re already dating someone
whom you care and love,
but selfishly I wish
‘twas me that you dreamt of.

And wishing it was I
that you would warmly embrace,
wishing so very hard, that
I could just take her place.

Perhaps you may be scared
of what your heart may feel,
But if you give me just one chance
to prove this could be real...

I would show you heaven
and the deep blues of the sky
I’d teach the wings of your soul
how to soar, how to fly

But until you see that I
was meant to be your dove,
I’ll sit back and be your friend...
who’s secretly in love.

I like this poem alot! It reminds me of one I wrote a while back, Oh I know what it is like to love one who loves another! You have some real talent (more than myself, at any rate), I hope to see you post more! Well, I'll be seein' ya (I will pop in from time to time, when life dulls out again)! Good poem!
