silly fireflies that buzz
on those summer nights,
believing they belong with
the stars. silly silly silly.

the fluttering so fluent
it reminds her
of the day's routine
when
she falls another
thousand feet
hoping to accidentally stumble
into your life
but she can never seem to fall
far enough. its not the difference in worlds
but the difference of needs and wants
there is no difference in her world
care free,
she's a firefly remember?
but there is in his
positioned,
he's a star, she forgot already..
but there is no landing to realize
that she reallycant belong to the stars
not enough
to be among
the starzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
silly firefly.
the collection of his loving words
those words he is unaware of
oblivious to
they wrap themselves between
her swollen insufficent feelings
she only wanted to dance
dance in the skies full of stars
she'll settle for the rainclouds
confidence resulted in a shower
of
bombs
unsubstantial
nothing new

stick to dark summer nights, silly firefly
the skies want nothing to do with you

This is one of the best poems i've ever read, no, i'm not tootingmy own horn, this is one of my best freind's poems, i just had to share it with other people. It's so relateable, true and well written, i love it..... : ) o....and i named it, the names are always random and have nothing to do with the poems, i hope that's why no one ever reads them...lol

I agree! Your friend is really talented.

It is sad though that this firefly is juz as it is - silly. But is she really? Can't she be given a chance to belong with the stars? Or if he really love her, couldn't he fall down to join her in glittering bliss?
