Love is a joke
True Love is a prank
prance and prattle
round and round we go
your hot, I'm not
I'm on, your off
we fight as passionately
as we... ahem ...
you slam the door in
my face
I hang up the phone
you jump into my
open arms
I romance you away
tears or joy, tears of pain
you scream, I yell
we both whisper
in the dark
Two souls destined for each other
to go through all this
I laugh
and say...
Love is a joke
and True Love,
True Love is a prank

(shrugs)

Great Job Allan. I feel my relationship is like this, but there is nothing in the world I would swap for it. I wouldn't give him up for the pearls in the sea! We are happy, no matter what fights we have! Great Job! Looking for More!!

I love how you tell two different parts in this piece, both intertwined. The stories of passion, fighting, and making up... and everyone knows making up is the best part.

I'm not really a fan of the message you portray, but I really enjoy this poem. I look forward to reading more of your work, Aaron
